Festive yet Homely, Peak of FF UNAIR 60th Anniversary Held at Balai Pemuda Surabaya

As time flies, the 60th Anniversary - Lustrum XII of Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Airlangga (FF UNAIR) has reached its peak. Tonight (12/8/2023) a "Festival Nostalgia Kampus FF UNAIR" was enlivened by all FF UNAIR academics and Alumni (ALFAS).

Carrying the concept of a folk festival, this grand reunion event was held outdoor and indoor at Balai Pemuda which is the icons of Surabaya. The event started at 15.00 in the courtyard of the Balai Pemuda by displaying ALFAS products and live music performed by the academics. Many general visitors are also interested in enjoying and joining this agenda.

In the evening, the event was held more private at the Balai Pemuda Surabaya building. At 18.00 the invited guests and FF UNAIR academics began to fill the Balai Pemuda Surabaya Building. Interestingly, the alumni used a dress code per class to show their cohesiveness.

The event began with the Sparkling Surabaya dance performance, which is a contemporary dance creation that depicts the identity of the Surabaya people. Then, the agenda continued with a prayer led by Dr. apt. Abdul Rahem, M.Kes. and remarks by the Chairperson of the 60th Anniversary - Lustrum XII FF UNAIR Committee, Prof. Dr. apt. Juni Ekowati, M.Si.

At that time there was also a speech scheduled by the Dean of FF UNAIR, Prof. apt. Junaidi Khotib, M.Kes., Ph.D. and Prof. Dr. drh. Bambang Sektiari Lukiswanto, DEA. as Deputy Chancellor for Academic, Student and Alumni Affairs UNAIR. Both of them expressed their gratitude and pride for the many achievements that FF UNAIR has achieved at the age of 60, and hoped that there would be more glorious achievements in the future.

After that, the attendees were spoiled by several performances brought by the academic community and FF UNAIR alumni. Ranging from choirs, ludruk, vocal groups, to parikan. After the performance, the event continued with the announcement of the awarding of rotating trophies for cohesive alumni. This year it is the class of 1984 that is deemed worthy and entitled to bear the title. They feel very proud of this achievement, after last year obtaining the same predicate, it turns out that the predicate can also be maintained this year.

At the end of the event, a door prize draw was held for 3 lucky winners. After that, the event was closed with the band performance and singing together.
